My friend Pat completed a thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail on Monday, October 6th. He hiked 2,650 miles from the border of Mexico in California to the border of Canada in Washington State. The trail follows the Sierra Nevadas in CA and the Cascades in OR/WA. He started on May 5th.
We picked him up about a month ago for a little rest and recuperation in Portland. He is the homeless looking guy holding Priya below:

"Around noon I pulled into a break and found Rat holding up a dead grouse he had killed with a rock. That night we ate grouse with wild mushrooms, and added two onions that I found randomly sitting on a log by a stream."
